Pharma industry jobs for freshers:

Pharma industry is a healthcare industry produces medicines, vaccines and medical devices etc to cure, control or to prevent the diseases or health related conditions. Number of vacancies are available for freshers(B Pharmacy, M pharmacy, M Sc, B Sc) in pharma industry.

Before going to detailing about various fresher pharma industry jobs, you should know the overall view of pharma companies and their types.

Here pharma industry and their departments given below. Offered jobs in those departments along with their designations explained briefly.

Production department:

Production department present in API plant, Formulation plant of pharma industry. It involves operating the equipment, producing the active pharmaceutical ingredient or drug formulations. Usually BSc(Chemistry), B Pharmacy, Msc(Chemistry) graduates are employed here as Officer. Machine operators also required here. Diploma(Pharmacy/Mechanical/Electrical/Electronics) or even 10th /12th class qualified people also employed here as operator.

Quality control/AQC(API QC):

Present in API and Formulation plant. If it a Research and Development plant, this department usually called as Analytical Research and Development(ARD). It works same as QC.  Packaging QC and Product QC are types. B Pharmacy, Msc and M Pharmacy graduates are employed as Officer/ Quality control analyst/ Quality control Technician.

Quality assurance(QA):

QA department present in API(Bulk drugs) and formulation plant. DQA works as same QA in R&D plant. In Process Quality Assurance (IPQA), Analytical Quality Assurance(Analytical QA), Validation and Qualification are sections in this department. B pharmacy, M pharmacy and Msc graduates are employed here as Officer

Formulation Research and Development(FRD):

This is known as FRD. It is present in R&D plant. It develops the various formulations after conducting the several trial batches. M Pharmacy, B Pharmacy and Msc graduates are employed here as Junior Research Associate(Jr.RA).

Technology transfer(TTD):

After developing a final successful batch (formulation) in the R&D. It has manufactured for commercial marketing batches  in the Formulation plant. This department take care of it. Usually B Pharmacy and M Pharmacy graduates  employed here as Officers.

Engineering:

Qualification: Diploma (Mechanical/Electrical/Electronics)

Designation: Officer

Warehouse:

Qualification: Any Bsc

Designation: Officer

Packing:

Qualification: ITI/ 12th (HSC)/ Diploma/ Bsc/ DME (Diploma in Mechanical Engineering)

Designation: Technician

Apart from these, They are several other departments also present like Regulatory affairs(M Pharmacy) , Pharmacovigilence(M Pharmacy), Clinical Data Management(CDM)(M Pharmacy). But these are not present in every pharma company, they may outsource their work to Contract Research Organistiaon.
